What is instruction-set?
The interface between software and hardware that defines the set of basic operations a processor can perform.
An Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) is the abstract model of a computer. It defines the machine language instructions, registers, data types, and memory architecture. It acts as the contract between software developers (or compiler writers) and hardware engineers.
