Pegada de Carbono (Carbon Footprint)

Quantidade total de gases de efeito estufa gerada por uma atividade, medida em equivalente de CO2 (CO2e).

As empresas usam a Avaliação do Ciclo de Vida (ACV) para medir sua pegada de carbono. Na engenharia de software, escrever códigos eficientes reduz o processamento necessário (CPU) e, por consequência, as emissões de Escopo 2 dos servidores.
